What sort of program is The Manager and Leader? 

“It’s a program for managers who want to enhance their management skills and take their leadership to the next level. To this end, the program addresses leadership issues such as: What does the research landscape look like? What should my approach to the different “recipes” be? How can I become the best version of myself and what contribution can I make in the workplace to ensure we get the best out of one another?”

“Managers and leaders also need expertise and certain specific skills, so we also work on enhancing participants’ understanding and skills in such areas as economics, strategic analysis, sustainability, AI, difficult conversations, and presentation techniques. We believe that the key to being a successful leader lies not only in the ability to understand and get to grips with individual subject areas, but in understanding the interaction and interfaces between these areas.”

What can I expect from the program? 

“Your expertise in a number of areas will be massively enhanced. And absolutely not just in terms of abstract theories: you’ll also acquire a set of concrete tools you can take away with you in such areas as conversation techniques and strategic choices. You’ll also have the opportunity to discuss the challenges you face with other participants – and be coached in handling them. This experience sharing is a key element of the program!”

Manager and Leader is a comprehensive leadership program for you who want to develop yourself and your ability to lead others. The program focuses on leadership, business development and operative control.

Some of the challenges which the Manager and Leader program deals with are:

• The demands imposed on managers for clarity and the ability to communicate goals and values
• Cooperation with other people in the organization
• How the company’s overall business goal can be applied to the operative goals for your area of responsibility
• How you make improvements and raise efficiency with limited resources

The Manager and Leader program contributes not only to your development as an individual but also to that of your company or organization. The program provides you with access to Stockholm School of Economics Executive Education’s alumni network, Networker. It is a high-level managerial network through which you and your organization can continue to develop. You will get access to current research and the opportunity to exchange experiences with other managers and companies.

Manager and Leader is primarily aimed at middle managers who are relatively new in their roles or are becoming manager of other managers. You probably have at least two years experience of being a manager with responsibility such as personnel, products or development.

The program is held in Swedish and the fee is SEK 110,000 excluding VAT.
